Responsible gambling
If betting has stopped being fun, or someone you love is hurting because of it, help is available right now, confidential and free. The sections below are a starting point.
21+ only01Our commitment
ScoutEdge is a scouting log. It helps a user record what they saw before a game and track whether their reads were worth the paper they were written on. It is not a sportsbook, it does not take wagers, and it is not advice to bet.
We built it to make a bettor more honest with themselves, not to push anyone to bet more. If you decide to wager on something you file here, that is your call, made with money you can afford to lose, through a licensed operator you chose for yourself.
If the Service ever stops being fun or starts pulling you somewhere you don't want to go, step away. The hit-rate record will still be here when you come back. If you want to stay away, email us and we'll close the account.
02Warning signs
Problem gambling doesn't look the same for everyone, but these are patterns worth paying attention to. If any of them sound familiar, in you or someone close to you, it is worth talking to one of the resources below.
- Chasing losses. Betting more, or bigger, to win back what you just lost.
- Hiding bets. Keeping the size, frequency, or outcomes of your gambling secret from the people in your life.
- Borrowing to bet. Using money meant for rent, groceries, bills, or savings, or borrowing from a bank, credit card, or another person to fund wagers.
- Can't stop when you plan to. Setting a stop-loss or a session limit and running past it, repeatedly.
- Betting to feel normal. Needing to have action to feel okay, or feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed when you can't bet.
- Lying about it. Minimizing the time or money spent when a partner, family member, or friend asks.
- Costs piling up outside the money. Sleep, work, school, relationships, physical health, or hobbies suffering because of time or attention given to gambling.
- Thoughts of self-harm. If gambling is leading you toward thoughts of hurting yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, US) right now.
03Where to turn
These organizations are free, confidential, and run by people who understand problem gambling. You don't need to be in crisis to reach out.
Outside the US? The resources above are US-based. Most countries have their own national helpline and self-exclusion program. Search for "problem gambling helpline" plus your country, or ask your health provider for a local referral.
04Close your ScoutEdge account
If you want to step away from the Service entirely, email support@scoutedge.site and we will close your account and stop any active subscription. You don't need to explain why. We will confirm back in writing when it's done.
